Captain Jerry Whisenhunt

Twenty two years ago I came to Dauphin Island on a vacation which included a snapper/amberjack trip. I had so much fun my wife and I bought our first house before the week had ended. Twenty two years, and four boats later I still enjoy every minute on the water and showing others why I love the fishing and life on Dauphin Island.

We fish private reefs in federal waters on half day and full day trips for snapper, amberjack, trigger fish, cobia, king mackerel, as well as other assorted reef fish. When the weather is right we do 12 and 18 hour trips off shore for Tuna, wahoo, and dolphin.

The boat “Minutes of Use” is a 31’ cape horn center console with twin 300 Suzukies. We like to spend time fishing rather than riding a slow boat the where we want to fish.

This is your vacation so let’s have fun and catch fish.
